Welcome to HonuaTherapy.com. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website located at honuatherapy.com (the “Site”) and the booking or purchase of any services, coupon codes, or gift certificates from Honua Therapeutic Massage Waikiki (“Honua Therapy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing the Site, making an online booking, or purchasing a service, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site or services.
1. Professional Services & Medical Disclaimer
• Not Medical Advice: The massage therapy, facial treatments, and specialized modalities (such as CBD treatments, Deep Tissue, or posture-related therapies) offered by Honua Therapy are for health preservation, stress relief, and general wellness purposes only. They do not substitute for professional medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment.
• Condition Disclosure: Guests are required to provide an accurate health history during their initial intake conference. If you have critical injuries, a history of deep vein thrombosis, specific dermal conditions, or are pregnant, you consulting a physician prior to booking.
• CBD Treatments: Our CBD Total Body Treatments introduce topical or ingested CBD hemp products (approx. 80mg to 110mg per session) using third-party brands. Honua Therapy makes no medical claims regarding the efficacy of these ingredients. Guests assume all individual risks regarding sensitivities or allergies.
2. Booking and Scheduling Appointments for Massage Therapy and Facial Esthetics Treatments
• Advance Bookings: Standard online bookings must be completed at least 24 hours in advance. Immediate, emergency, or same-day appointments cannot be guaranteed online and must be requested via direct call or text at +1 (808) 382-6565.
• Single-Guest Focus: To maintain a private spa atmosphere, the studio is dedicated to one guest or one specific couple/pair appointment block at a time. Sequential back-to-back group appointments require an enforced 30-minute transition and sanitation period.
• Calendar Discrepancies: Abandoned shopping carts may cause temporal availability delays on our online booking calendar. Final appointment confirmation rests on manual verification by Honua Therapy staff if a system error occurs.
3. Pricing, Taxes, and Promotional Codes
• Hawaii General Excise Tax: All base pricing displayed on the Site excludes the mandatory state-level 4.72% General Excise Tax (GET) unless specified otherwise. The total sum inclusive of this tax will be explicitly detailed at checkout or final invoicing.
• Coupon Code Usage: Promotional codes (such as GAMEUPCBD23) must be entered properly into the coupon section during online checkout or declared over text/phone prior to the appointment. Discounts cannot be applied retroactively to completed sessions.
4. Cancellations, Late Arrivals, and Gift Certificates
• Cancellations: All bookings are subject to Honua Therapy’s 24 hours or greater standalone Cancellation Policy. Cancellations or changes to scheduled sessions must meet our designated notice windows to avoid full or partial service fees.
• Late Arrivals: If a guest arrives late, the session duration will be compressed to fit the remaining booked time slot out of respect for subsequent sequential clients. The full price of the scheduled service will still apply.
• Gift Certificates: Gift certificates purchased via the Site are are valid for five calendar years from date of purchase, non-refundable, hold no cash value, and must be validated with Reception prior to the appointment date and time.
• Gift Certificates: Gift certificates purchased via the Site are transferable by notification to Reception of the transferee’s First, Last name and contact information.
5. Intellectual Property & Site Usage
• All content, including logos, text formatting, original therapy configurations (e.g., Fire and Ice Sports Massage, Organic Tropical Renewal), images, and descriptive media, is the property of Honua Therapy or licensed under creative commons compliance as credited (CC BY-SA 4.0).
• Unauthorized duplication or commercial exploitation of our original therapy descriptions or layout frameworks is strictly prohibited.
6. Limitation of Liability
Honua Therapy, its licensed massage therapists, and its estheticians shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your utilization of the Site or unexpected physical reactions to standard wellness treatments, except where restricted by law.
7. Governing Law
These Terms and all service agreements are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Hawaii, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal actions arising from these terms must be filed in a court of competent jurisdiction within Honolulu County.
